With the development of LED diode production and their evolution from small indicators to high-intensity light sources, the first use of LEDs was for decorative lamps and the creation of full-color acorn string lights. Chinese companies led the way in this industry by producing low-power colored lamps, which were primarily used in chandeliers and lighting displays. They later produced IC drivers for green, blue, and red LEDs, combining their lights to create different colors.
By combining blue and red LEDs, they created pink light; green and red LEDs produced yellow light; green and blue created turquoise light; and a combination of green, blue, and red LEDs generated white light.
The first IC designed for this purpose, by a Chinese company, was the HL4929, which had three outputs for green, blue, and red LEDs. It featured three single modes, three double modes, and one triple mode, activating seven different output combinations, resulting in seven distinct colors.
In 2007, these lights were introduced to the Iranian market, and Erfan Sanat Company decided to start producing these decorative lights. They became the first company in Iran to manage the full production cycle, from manufacturing components to assembly. These lights, known as “Star Lights” with a one-watt capacity, were introduced in various colors and seven different lighting options, quickly gaining popularity for urban decorations.
The success and demand for these lights, especially in string light form for urban decorations, prompted the company to manufacture them as string lights. Utilizing their prior experience in mold making, they designed the best possible version of this product.
The lamp bulb design of this string light was inspired by a pottery model, and the lower part was made from a two-piece plastic body and an injection-molded cable. For water sealing, plastic material was injected onto the cable, and ultrasonic welding was used to attach the bulb to the body, ensuring full waterproofing.
After production, these string lights were named “Acorn String Lights” due to their resemblance to acorns. Initially, they were sold in 10-meter strings with 15 sockets in various colors, including green, blue, red, yellow, pink, and seven-color options.
Acorn String Lights are generally divided into three main categories based on their color:
Introduction of Full-Color Acorn String Lights:
The Acorn String Lights, initially available in single colors and seven-color variations, received widespread consumer acceptance and high production volumes in the early years of production. This success helped build confidence in the market and encouraged efforts to further develop the product. A new idea emerged from the strip lights, which had been produced by a Chinese company. These strip lights used RGB (Red, Green, Blue) SMD LEDs, which were arranged sequentially and powered by a Chinese IC driver (1812).
The operation of these strip lights worked as follows: an input data signal was sent to the first IC, which then processed the information for the three LED outputs. The remaining data was passed on to the second IC, continuing this process through to the last IC. Each of the three outputs controlled a specific color of LEDs, and the advanced technology within these ICs allowed each output to control light intensity from 0 to 255.
By controlling the intensity of the three LED colors, it was possible to create 16 million different light colors. This capability, if applied to the acorn string lights, could produce stunning visual effects and animations. This led the company to develop a new product with this feature. After researching and collaborating with a Chinese factory, the company discovered the IC 1804, which had three outputs designed to drive a single pixel. Using this IC, it became possible to illuminate each acorn light with up to 16 million different color variations.
Once the IC was purchased and implemented, the company was able to illuminate the acorn-shaped bulbs with a wide range of colors, and the challenge became transmitting the data to the acorn lights. This challenge was overcome by creating a control box at the beginning of the string to send the data along the entire length of the lights.
This control box provided the necessary voltage and data to the lights, ensuring that each bulb received the correct data for specific colors and timing effects. Additionally, a remote control was developed to select single-color options or special effects for display.
Following this, the string lights were standardized and released in 10-meter (20-socket), 15-meter (30-socket), and 20-meter (40-socket) lengths. This product was the first of its kind ever created in Iran and worldwide, and it was met with tremendous consumer demand. Moreover, Erfan Sanat Esfahan offers full customization and personalization of the Acorn String Lights based on customer requirements!
The Acorn String Lights at Erfan Sanat Esfahan are available in single-color, seven-color, and full-color variations, with each version being developed over time through the efforts of the company’s experts.
The seven-color Acorn String Lights were first produced by Erfan Sanat Esfahan in 2010 (1389 in the Iranian calendar). Following this, the single-color Acorn String Lights were introduced in 2011 (1390). Finally, the full-color Acorn String Lights were developed and have been available to customers since 2013 (1392).
The Full-Color Acorn String Lights by Erfan Sanat Esfahan offer a wide range of unique and fascinating programs, including various effects and animations such as 2D, 3D, text, and moving images, all with smooth and uniform lighting and low energy consumption.
This product can be implemented in various structures and design patterns, customized according to the client’s suggestions.
The Full-Color Acorn String Lights are available in different flame counts, including 15, 16, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, and 100. The center-to-center distance between each flame is 50 cm. The product can be customized in different lengths and flame counts according to the client’s order.
The bulbs of the Acorn String Lights are made of polycarbonate, which is more durable and UV-resistant compared to crystal and polypropylene (PP). This makes the product highly resistant to impact, heat, rain, and more. Polycarbonate also allows light to pass through more effectively, whereas polypropylene reduces light output, and crystal is fragile and lacks UV protection.
The 0.75*3 cable used between the bulbs is of higher quality in terms of diameter and UV protection, making it suitable for use in all weather conditions.
The connection points between the cables and bulbs are designed with holes to allow for connection using wire ropes, which is particularly useful when securing the lights, especially for longer installations.
Additionally, ultrasonic welding is used at all stages of production to ensure full waterproofing. These waterproof Acorn String Lights are suitable for use in humid environments and even underwater if needed.
With their advanced professional capabilities, durability, and guaranteed power and quality, the price of the Full-Color Acorn String Lights from Erfan Sanat Esfahan is slightly higher than competing products. However, higher quality often comes with a higher initial cost.
Due to their appealing and distinctive features, Erfan Sanat Esfahan has successfully met the needs of customers looking for Full-Color Acorn String Lights, making them one of the best choices for lighting decoration projects.
Each Acorn String Light features 9 SMD LEDs with a unique chip from Erfan Sanat Esfahan, offering uniform light and low energy consumption. The product supports a variety of exciting and unique programs, including Full-Color, Seven-Color, Single-Color, and more, ideal for lighting and urban beautification projects.
Note: A minimum of 8 strings is required for this product, with the best configurations being 8, 16, 32, or 64 strings. Following this suggestion will ensure your order is processed swiftly.
The control system of this product connects the strings to a central control box, from which all the controllers are managed. This system is particularly useful when a specific design or light element needs to be implemented in a space.
After the customer places the order and specifies the required number of bulbs and the desired length for the project, the acorn string lights are prepared in the production unit of Erfan Sanat Esfahan and handed over to the project team.
In this stage, after connecting the strings to the steel cables (to prevent excessive tension on the strings during installation), the products are packaged and sent to the installation site. Then, depending on the type of strings (connection to a central box or self-contained control box), the installation and adjustment process is carried out. These steps ensure proper installation and optimal performance of the strings.
This approach ensures a smooth process from order to installation, allowing full control and customization of the lighting effect.
