History of Oak Strings
With the development of the LED lighting industry and their transformation from small indicators to high-output light sources, their first use for decorative lamps and the production of full-color oak strings began. Chinese companies, by producing low-power colored lamps, took the lead in this industry and set out to produce decorative low-power lamps that were mainly used in chandeliers and lighting. Then, by producing driver ICs for green, blue, and red LEDs and combining their lights, they created different types of light.
By combining blue and red LEDs, they created pink light; by combining yellow and green and blue light, they created turquoise; and with green, blue, and red LEDs, they produced white light.
The first IC made for this purpose by a Chinese company was number HL4929, which had three outputs for green, blue, and red LEDs. It activated three single modes, three dual modes, and one triple mode output, allowing the green, blue, and red LEDs to illuminate in seven different modes and seven different colors.
With the introduction of these lamps for the first time in the year 1386 to the Iranian market, Erfan Sanat Company decided to produce these decorative lamps and for the first time in Iran, carried out the complete production and assembly of these lamps from A to Z, which was conducted individually and in various light colors producing seven colors. This production entered the market under the name Star Lamp with a power of one watt and received a great deal of enthusiasm for urban decorations.
The sales and demand for this product for urban decorations in string form prompted the company to decide to produce these lamps in string format and, with its previous mold-making experience, to design the best possible solution in this area.
The bulb of this string was inspired by a clay model, and the lower part was produced in a two-piece plastic body with injected cable.
To ensure water resistance, plastic material was injected over the cable, and ultrasonic welding was also used to connect the bulb to the body, which ensures full sealing of the string.
After construction, due to its resemblance to acorns, they became known as oak strings, which were then launched into the market with 10-meter standards and 15 bulbs in green, blue, red, yellow, pink, and seven colors.

Introduction of Oak String Full Color:
The oak string lamp with single and seven colors was very well received by consumers and produced in high volume in the first years, which created confidence in the sales market and efforts towards product development. The new idea that emerged was from ribbon strings produced by a Chinese company, where in these ribbon strings, RGB (SMD) LEDs were activated sequentially by a Chinese driver IC 1812.
The operation of these ribbon strings was such that an input data entered the first IC, which took information regarding its three outputs of LEDs and sent the remaining data to the second IC, and this process continued to the last IC. Each of these three outputs illuminated its respective three colors of LEDs, and the advanced technology present in these ICs allowed each output to control the light from zero to 255.
With the illumination of three LED colors from zero to 255, we could have 16 million different light colors, and if this capability were implemented in the bulbs of the oak string lamp, it could create attractive effects and animations. This prompted the company to realize the idea of producing a new product with this capability, therefore upon searching for a Chinese factory, we discovered that the IC 1804 had also been produced with three outputs for activating a pixel, which could light a single bulb up to 16,000,000 different light colors.
By purchasing and implementing it, we were able to illuminate the oak bulbs with diverse and addressable colors; however, the challenge that arose was transmitting data to the oak bulbs, which led to the production of a control box at the beginning of the string for data transmission along the string.
This control box was initially connected to provide the voltage and data required for the bulbs, creating the electricity for the bulbs and sending the command to illuminate with a specific light and variable time.
Additionally, a remote control was prepared and activated with which the single colors or special effects could be set for display.
Subsequently, this string was standardized and launched in lengths of 10 meters 20 lamps and 15 meters 30 lamps and 20 meters 40 lamps in the market, which was produced for the first time in Iran and the world, achieving a considerable reception from consumers. History of Oak String Full Color Production:
Oak strings in Erfan Sanat Isfahan Company are available in single color, seven colors, and full color, which were all developed over time with the efforts of this company’s specialists.
The seven-color oak string was produced in Erfan Sanat Isfahan from the year 1389, followed by the single-color oak string produced in the year 1390, and finally, the full-color string was produced and offered to customers from 1392 to the present day.

The bulbs of the oak string are made of polycarbonate, which has the shatterproof and UV features compared to crystal and polypropylene (PP), making it highly resistant to impact, heat, rain, etc.
It is worth mentioning that polycarbonate transmits light well, while polypropylene diminishes light. Crystal is also very fragile and does not have UV protection.
The cable used is a 0.75*3 which meets standard requirements regarding wire diameter and UV properties, allowing this product to be used in all weather conditions.
In the cable connection area to the bulb, holes have been provided to enable wired attachment to a wire rope, which serves to anchor the strings, especially for longer lengths.
Additionally, ultrasonic welding was utilized in all production stages to ensure complete waterproofing. These oak strings are water-resistant, suitable for use in all humid areas and even for underwater use.

The control system of this product is designed so that the strings are connected to a central box from which they are controlled.
This system is used where there is a need to implement a specific design or a specific light element.
Conditions for Using the Full Color Oak String:
Ensure that the installation of this product is done within the proper voltage range.
Before installing the oak string at height, always test it with at least one remote.

How to Use the Full Color Oak String:
After the customer places an order and determines the number of bulbs and the required length of the string for the project, the strings are prepared in the production unit of Erfan Sanat and delivered to the project team.
At this stage, by connecting the strings to a wire rope (to prevent excessive stretching of the string during installation), the products are packaged and sent to the installation site. Then, depending on the type of strings (connection to a central box or self-contained control box), they will be adjusted and installed.
Finally, adjusting the speed and customer’s preferred program is possible remotely with the dedicated mobile software.
